Description

With the detection of the cosmic neutrino flux at TeV-PeV energies IceCube opened the field of neutrino astronomy. Nevertheless, above PeV energies IceCube runs low in statistics, where the Askaryan radio detectors only become sensitive at EeV energies. We investigate a new radio detection method, the radar technique, to probe the sensitivity gap in the PeV-EeV cosmic neutrino flux. A brief introduction to the radar scattering method will be presented, followed by first results of a beam test experiment performed at the Stanford Linear Accelerstor Center.
