Rare Top-quark Decays to Englert-Brout-Higgs boson in MSSM
Athanasios Dedes
12:00 - 12:45
Room: 1G003
The arrival of the top-quark and the Brout-Englert-Higgs boson are probably the biggest news in particle physics during the last 20 years. Measuring properties of these two particles precisely will take us to a different level of understanding better the Standard Model (SM) dynamics as well as the design of the near future collider machines. In my talk I will address a simple question relating both particles: can the top-quark decay into a Brout-Englert-Higgs boson and a light quark (up or charm) at a level detectable in the next LHC run? What is the rate in the SM? What is the rate in its Minimal Supersymmetric extension, the MSSM? What is the model which provides the biggest rate? Is it worth looking for these decays at LHC? These are some of the question that will be addressed in my talk.
