The fact that the Standard Model of particle physics could be extended with Sterile Neutrinos is an exciting possibility that would connect many different topics of high energy physics in phenomenology and experiments. The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts on Sterile Neutrino's to talk about reactor experiments, astrophysics, cosmology and dark matter. The workshop will be informal with large time dedicated to questions and discussions.
We admit a maximum of 50 participants. So please register to the workshop only if you plan to attend the entire event.
The workshop will take place at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels) in the Jean Sacton seminar room at the IIHE (1G003)

List of confirmed speakers:
Joachim Kopp (Mainz University): Global Fits with Sterile Neutrinos
Jordi Salvado (Valencia University): IceCube and sterile neutrino results (pheno)
Maria Archidiacono (Aachen University): Sterile neutrinos in cosmology: troubles or new physics?
Antonin Vacheret (Imperial College London): Solid and reactor experiments
Sebastian Boser (Mainz University): IceCube and sterile neutrino results (exp)
Denise Hellwig (Aachen University): Double Chooz and the theta14

The workshop is supported by the Strategic Research Program HEP@VUB.
The workshop is the first of the series HEP@VUB Crosstalk Workshops whose objective is to promote interdisciplinary activities across research groups in theoretical and experimental aspects of particle physics, astro-particle physics and high-energy astrophysics

Local Organizers: Alberto Mariotti and Laura Lopez Honorez
