Description
abstract: With the completion of the CMS measurements of the mass of the top quark
from Run I of the LHC, it is a good time to review what has been learnt
and look forward to see what may be possible in the future. In this
talk I will review the results obtained by CMS from both the direct and
indirect
analyses, and comment briefly on recent studies for the HLLHC. With a
current precision of 480 MeV, the results are already entering the
Regime of precision measurement. For the HLLHC, it looks possible to
improve
This further to reach a precision of better than 200 MeV.
