Description
abstract: At the end of Run I, CMS published the results for a search of right-handed bosons and heavy right-handed neutrinos in the left-right symmetric extension of the standard model. The measurement observed an excess with a local significance of 2.8σ in the final state with 2 electrons and 2 quarks, while a good agreement between the data and the standard model expectations has been observed in the same channel with muons and no search has been performed in the tau channel. We present the most recent searches at CMS with the Run II data, investigating heavy right-handed neutrinos with taus in the final state and a recently proposed model where the Majorana neutrino stems from a composite scenario.
