Description
abstract: In a series of episodes I try to shed light on the seven most relevant question of extragalactic cosmic ray astrophysics and related areas: 1) Why does the Hillas plot looks like it does? 2) Is there a GZK cutoff — and why not? 3) What is the origin of the ankle? 4) Why are gamma rays not a good tracer for cosmic ray sources (while radio brightness is)? 5) Is there an expected difference between North and South (i.e., between TA and Auger)? 6) What is the connection of UHECR and PeV neutrino sources — if any? 7) Are there cosmogenic neutrinos?
