Neutrino physics with the NOvA experiment

NOvA is a long-baseline experiment to study neutrino oscillations. It is comprised by two segmented liquid-scintillator detectors: a Near Detector, located 100 m underground and 1 km away from the source of the Fermilab NuMI beam and the Far Detector, located 810 km away from the source. The detectors consist of cells that are organized into planes alternating in vertical and horizontal orientation, allowing for a reconstruction of the energy and direction of secondary particles after a neutrino interaction. I will give an overview of the NOvA experiment and a summary of some of the most recent results on neutrino oscillations and other topics that are studied with NOvA.
