Short bio:

Prof. Qian currently serves as the HCAL Coordinator for the CEPC detector project and has long been leading R&D on core detector technologies for large-scale scientific facilities, particularly advanced photodetectors and scintillation materials.

He played a leading role in the development of novel LPMT(MCP-PMT, has maintained very close collaboration with NNVT for all types of PMTs), contributing to the establishment of high-performance PMT technology in China. In recent years, he initiated and led a collaboration on high-density scintillating glass, focusing on high light-yield, high-density materials for high-energy physics calorimetry and radiation detection. Within three years, his team achieved several internationally competitive results, successfully developing scintillating glass with a density exceeding 6 g/cm³ and a light yield above 2000 ph/MeV.

He also serves on the editorial boards of Radiation Detection Technology and Methods and The Innovation, and is Associate Editor of Nuclear Electronics & Detection Technology.
