Description

A new particle was discovered at the CERN Large Hadron Collider on July 4th, 2012 and it astonishingly looks the long sought-after missing spin-0 boson of the Standard Model. This new boson boson is much more than yet-another particle. I shall briefly review the status of the Standard Model, describe the remaining challenges and present new interesting channels at the LHC and future machines.
