Description
abstract: There has been recent interest in supersymmetric scenarios where the lightest stop is highly mixed in flavor, i.e. it is a mixture of up-squark and top-squark, or a mixture of charm-squark and top-squark. I will first review basic aspects and motivations of supersymmetric models with light stops, the existing collider constraints, and the features related to flavor mixing. I will then show how to realize models with light and highly flavor-mixed squark in a simple extension of gauge mediation of supersymmetry breaking. I will study the constraints from flavor physics and the possible signatures at LHC of such models. In particular, I will discuss the smoking gun collider signatures in the case of maximal sup-stop mixing, that is same sign tops, and assess the experimental reach at LHC.
