Description

The spring 2019 JUNO European collaboration meeting will be held in Brussels in May 23-24. 

Three JUNO satellite meetings will be organised before the EU JUNO:

  • The JUNO Liquid Scintillator meeting, from Monday 20/05 to Wednesday 22/05
  • The JUNO Osiris meeting, on Wednesday 22/05
  •  The JUNO Computing infrasctructure meeting, on Wednesday 22/05 afernoon

        Discussing EU resources

        Start a discussion focused on defining an acceptable involvment of EU in JUNO computing.
        The two topics to discuss are:
        Storage: how much copies we would like to have in Europe and how we think to use them
        Computing: how much computing power we would like to contribute at JUNO effort

        Discussion on the opportunity to try to enroll more data centers, on how to invite them and who invite

        After the presentation a discussion will be to compare data centers and users point of view and requirements

        A short summary of resources available on the short term will be done. The prototype will be introduced.
        To follow, a discussion on challenges to try prototype and on user requirements

        An introduction on user support and operations in deistributed infrastructure. To follow a discussion on how we would like to implement this in JUNO
