We introduce the milliQan experiment: a new small-scale detector that provides a unique extension to the LHC's search program, with a large discovery potential for yet unknown particles with small electric charge, a "millicharge". Ready for construction, this experiment aims in just a few years to unlock yet uncovered territory in the search for millicharged particles.
