Description

The following study aims at the measurement of the Lambda_b lifetime with exclusively reconstructed Lambda_b -> J/Psi Lambda decays using 1 fb ^-1 of data collected in 2011 with the LHCb detector at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. We obtain: Tau_(Lambda_b) = xxx +- 0.034 (stat.) +- 0.020 (syst.) ps. Given that we use the same data set as the official analysis, the measurement is still "blinded". Once "unblinded" it will be the most precise measurement of the Lambda_b lifetime.
